Our mission is to help the poor, disabled, disadvantaged and elderly with the basic needs of food, clothing, housing and medical expenses.
We strive to help those who are experiencing a “crisis” in their lives. This crisis may be financial because of the loss of employment, medical because of the illness of a family member, or psychological because of a stressful situation in daily life.
Clients receive help from the Christian Assistance Network in many different ways. All financial assistance is paid directly to a business, landlord, vendor, etc.; no cash handouts are given. We help as a financial and a skill-building resource. C.A.N. is not a sustaining organization, ie, we cannot provide ongoing assistance. C.A.N. provides crisis assistance to help families get over a temporary setback due to illness, unemployment, or other reasons that may have caused a crisis.
